Yankees win 27th World Series title

After a 7 to 3  victory, the New York Yankees beat the Philadelphia Phillies in six games to claim the MLB 2009 World Series championship title for the 27th time this week.  The team won the championship in the first year of  the new Yankee Stadium — just like Babe Ruth and his Yankee teammates did back in 1923, however this one was even better, because they clinched this one at home, at Yankee Stadium.
